GSC and IGS invite you to meet us at Chicago’s Northerly Island for a days hike on Wednesday, June 5.
This hiking tour will explore Northerly Island (completed in 1925) and environs. Northerly Island was part of the site for the 1933 Century of Progress and until most recently housed Meigs Field designed to accommodate corporate and private aircraft. The tour is self-pay for all meals, gas, and any parking fees EXCEPT for the Soldier Field Tour which is pre-pay. We recommend that you bring a picnic lunch and water and/or a beverage for this event.
Wednesday, June 5 – 9:00 a.m. (rain or shine)
Northerly Island Visitor Center, 1521 S. Lynn White Drive, Chicago (the old Meigs Field terminal building)
Parking – from Solidarity Drive which extends to the Adler Planetarium, turn south onto Lynn White
Drive. (Parking is available in the area).
Cost (Soldier Field Tour only): $25 per adult (age 19-59), $15 student (age 6-19), $15 senior (60+), $15 military (with ID), and $10 child (age 2-5)
**Lunch and any other anticipated expenses for this field trip (outside of the tour of Soldier Field) is on your own.**
