IGS Annual Meeting, April 26-29, 2018
Roots, Routes and The River: Exploring Land Use and Human Activity in SW Illinois
The Illinois Geographical Society invites you to join them for their 2018 Annual Meeting and exploration of the “Roots, Routes, and the River” in Southwest Illinois, hosted by Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
During the four-day event IGS is also sponsoring pre- and post-meeting field trips. This year, the event kicks off with a field day down “Old Route 66: The Odd and the Unique”, where participants explore lesser-visited sites along the path of Old Route 66, now Illinois Route 4, from Springfield to Edwardsville. The tour is self-pay for all meals, gas, parking fees, and admissions.
Reservations must be made by Sunday, April 15.
