Membership in The Geographic Society of Chicago (GSC) is open to
all who are interested in supporting the goals of the Society.
Members receive all Society mailings and announcements
including notices of Lecture/Film Programs, Local Excursions, Overseas
Tours, DePaul Geographical
Society Lectures, National Geographic Society “Live from…” programs
and other special events.
Membership is on a fiscal year basis, from July
1 through June 30.
The Society has five categories of membership appropriate for a wide
variety of members.
Regular Membership
$30 per year
Basic individual membership that includes discounts on all GSC programs,
one (1) series ticket for the DePaul Geographical Society 2006-2007 Lecture
Series, and a discount on National Geographic Society “Live!” programs
in Chicago. The tax deductible portion of Regular dues is $21.
Family Membership
$45 per year
Family membership for two adults and any children under 19 years old
that includes discounts on all GSC programs, two (2) series tickets for
the DePaul Geographical Society 2006-2007 Lecture Series, and a discount
on National Geographic Society “Live!” programs in Chicago.
The tax deductible portion of Family dues is $27.
Contributing Membership
$100 per year
Family membership for two adults and any children under 19 years old
that includes discounts on all GSC programs, one (1) complimentary ticket
to a GSC Lecture/Film program, two (2) series tickets for the DePaul
Geographical Society 2006-2007 Lecture Series, and a discount on National
Geographic Society “Live!” programs in Chicago. This membership
level includes a donation to the Society. The tax deductible portion
of Contributing dues is $67.
Sponsor Membership
$250 per year
Family membership for two adults and any children under 19 years old
that includes discounts on all GSC programs, two (2) complimentary tickets
to a GSC Lecture/Film program, two (2) series tickets for the DePaul
Geographical Society 2006-2007 Lecture Series, and a discount on National
Geographic Society “Live!” programs in Chicago. This membership
level includes a donation to the Society. The tax deductible portion
of Sponsor dues is $202.
Patron Membership
$500 per year
Family membership for two adults and any children under 19 years old
that includes discounts on all GSC programs, two (2) complimentary tickets
to a GSC Lecture/Film program, two (2) complimentary series tickets for
the DePaul Geographical Society 2006-2007 Lecture Series, and one (1)
complimentary series ticket for the 2006 National Geographic Society “Live!” programs
in Chicago. This membership level includes a donation to the Society.
The tax deductible portion of Patron dues is $382.
