Join Dr. Irving Cutler and other Geographic Society of Chicago members for this fascinating tour of one of Chicago’s most interesting natural resources. Dr. Cutler is Chicago’s premier lecturer on Chicago geography and history, an experienced tour leader, past GSC president, and present GSC board member.

You will experience the natural beauty of the Indiana lakeshore dunes country with its beautiful colors. Discover historic, geologic, and botanic features of our national park. Visit a duneland farm, mansion, church, and museum - all historic landmarks. See the duneland community of Beverly Shores with its interesting model 1933 Century of Progress homes. En route, view the industrialized areas of Northwestern Indiana. Limited hiking along the dunes and lake is optional.

9:00 A.M. departure at the State of Illinois Building, Chicago (on the west side of Clark St., between Randolph and Lake) via a deluxe bus (with air conditioning and bathroom facilities on board). Return at approximately 5:00 P.M.

Price includes transportation, lunch, entrance fees, and all gratuities and taxes
$55.00 per person for members and their guests
$70.00 per person for non-members
