No urban center since the Middle Ages so decisively shaped the cultural and commercial trajectory of an epoch. “The other places do not count\,” wrote Kipling\, “I have struck a city – a real city – and they call it Chicago.” \nCome join GSC for a fun afternoon on the Chicago River! Chicago’s oldest museum – the Chicago History Museum – will lead the river cruise: For 90 minutes both history and design buffs alike will enjoy many “I did not know that” moments as our docent shares Chicago’s story\, including its 6-year transformation from a city without a recognizable landmark to center of world architecture.
