DESCRIPTION:June 12 – 14\, 2023\n9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Zoom Webinar | Cost: FREE | REGISTER\n\n\nThe Geographic Society of Chicago is pleased to offer a free\, three-day workshop to educators that will engage them in learning the basic skills for incorporating geographic information systems (GIS) into their curriculum.\n\nThe workshop is virtual\, using Zoom for our sessions. All you need is a computer and Internet browser. \nThe workshop is for in-service\, pre-service and informal educators teaching Grades 4-12 in any discipline. Sessions will focus on strategies for using and teaching GIS in your curriculum. Barthel for an exploration of Malaysia.\n\nIn February 2023\, Derek visited the state of Sabah\, in the northern tip of the island of Borneo. There he went scuba diving at the infamous island of Sipadan among huge schools of barracuda and jackfish\, surrounded by sea turtles and reef sharks.
