Join GSC for the November Travelogue, where Dorothy Dare will present on the network of trade routes known as the Silk Road, named for its lucrative trade in silk. Between the 2nd and 14th centuries, the Silk Road served not only as a transport for goods, but also as a conduit for cultural exchange. From Xian in China to the Roman Empire in Europe, the cities along this trade route flourished. We will visit the most prominent Silk Road destinations in Uzbekistan.
