Beer and pizza. Two very important topics of conversation in and around the city we call home. The Geographic Society of Chicago is turning that conversation into action on August 10 for our Chicago Brewery Tour!
Join GSC as we sample beer from three of the city’s most popular breweries – Goose Island Brewhouse, Metropolitan Brewing, and Revolution Brewing – and enjoy some Chicago-style pizza, too. Here’s what we have planned:
| Meet at Goose Island (Clybourn location)
| Goose Island tasting; appetizers will be served
| Transportation to Metropolitan; light snacks & water will be provided on the bus
| Metropolitan tasting
| Transportation to Revolution
| Revolution tasting; pizza will be served
| Transportation back to Goose Island
GSC Members: $110
Fees include three brewery tastings, snacks/food, transportation between breweries, and an educational experience!; cost of additional beer is not included.

About the Breweries
GOOSE ISLAND has become synonymous with Chicago beer. Founder John Hall helped set off the craft beer craze when he started Goose Island in 1988. They continue to be guided by their respect for the history and culture of beer as well as a passion for, and innovation in, brewing.
METROPOLITAN was founded by Doug and Tracy Hurst. They began brewing German style lagers in 2009, and have since moved to the forefront of the Chicago Brewing scene. Enjoy their refreshing brews at their amazing location with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the North Branch of the Chicago River.
REVOLUTION is the largest independent brewery in Chicago. In a very short time, they have become a leader and innovator in the industry. The evolving tastes of beer drinkers has demanded bigger flavors, more variety, and better beer. That’s exactly what they give you at Revolution Brewing.
