In February 2023, Derek visited the state of Sabah, in the northern tip of the island of Borneo. There he went scuba diving at the infamous island of Sipadan among huge schools of barracuda and jackfish, surrounded by sea turtles and reef sharks. After that he also visited the cities of Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur, where he visited food markets, National Parks and Hindu temples.
